The latest edition of THE BIZZ AMERICAS was held July 29-31 with the support of Destination Toronto, the country’s leading tourism authority, where 19 companies came together to be recognized for their business achievements at a ceremony held at The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Toronto, Canada. 

As usual, WORLDCOB recognized the business excellence of different organizations from around the world with THE BIZZ award, the most important international business award that has been registered in the edition number 22. On this occasion, attendees enjoyed a Welcome Reception on July 29, the perfect occasion to network and connect.

Different companies from all over the world were present enjoying this great event, among some of the companies that were recognized at the last ceremony were: LABORATORIOS K-LLLER CORP (GLORY), from Panama, DENTAL X (BE A LEGEND), from Canada, ISOTECH LIMITED (BE A LEGEND) from Trinidad and Tobago, FÉNIX LUSITANA (PEEK OF SUCCESS) from Portugal, SCHWITZ BIOTECH (PEEK OF SUCCESS) from India.

The World Confederation of Business (WORLDCOB) was selected for the second consecutive time as one of the hosted buyers at the event that brings together the global business community at IMEX in Frankfurt 2022, in Germany, which opened on May 30 and ran until June 2.

Jesus Morán CEO WORLDCOB was our official representative at this event where he was able to meet for the first time in three years with different tourism ministries in order to do business. In the three days that WORLDCOB was invited, we were able to make solid alliances for future events of the company.

In the three years since the last IMEX in Frankfurt, technology has transformed the event landscape and the delegate experience, whether in person, virtually or as an avatar in the metaverse. This event explored the latest innovations in the field and dove into current topics related to sustainability, event design, wellness, contract negotiations and more.

This event marked a milestone for the industry: its largest global gathering since the pandemic. It had exhibitors representing more than 100 countries, the exhibition hall is the ultimate living reflection of the international business events market.

As such, this was an opportunity for WORLDCOB as it continually looks for new and improved features that will allow us to elevate the event experience for all of our members. As such, we are very grateful that conventions like this one support our mission and vision.

The two-day event began on March 25, with a meet and greet that was accompanied by an elegant dinner to delight all the winning members of WORLDCOB; later, on March 26, in the morning hours, a private visit to the Nasa space center took place, all the members enjoyed this outing and took different pictures. Later in the afternoon, the long awaited personal awards ceremony wasconducted by Jesus Moran, President of WORLDCOB.

The personalized award ceremony was conducted by Jesus Moran (President), Michael Bellido (Vice President), and Nicolas Caffaro (Director of International Relations).

The personalized meetings consisted of a direct meeting with the companies in which several photographs were taken with the award, so that the award winners could be honored. 

Important companies such as ENVASERV RESEARCH CONSULT LIMITED (Ghana), SD ASSOCIATES SDN BHD (Malaysia), HIDDEN BRAINS INFOTECH PVT. LTD. 1. Tell us the history of your company and under what premise it was created

The Dhaka Mercantile Co-operative Bank Ltd was registered under Co-Operative act in 1973 by the department of Co-Operatives under the Ministry of Co-Operatives. One main point in the article of association was that this institution can do kinds of banking business for the benefit of the society and its members.

2. What is the main mission of your company?

The main mission is to help small businesses grow by providing funds without collateral.

3. How do you think your company has managed to adapt to current changes in the world and what innovations have you managed to implement?

From the beginning, my team, mainly brothers and sisters and wife, we managed the organization since 2002. The honesty of purpose and good governance are core issues considering the worldwide financial crisis.

We stuck to our aim with utmost sincerity commitment to educating all employees with ever-growing members.

We ensure transparency, honesty, flexibility in our policies; we ensured women empowerment, a safe office environment, equal status, inclusive of salary, competitive cost of fund and lending rate with excess to loan on-demand recovery by our own staff.

Clients do not come to us we go to them for all purposes.

4. What do you think has been the main contribution of your company to the economy / market of your country?

We define poverty in this part of the world by lending the clients were effectively educated to submit assets, liabilities after each loan, thus improving their social-economic status including children education, looking after older parents

5. How do you value the experience of participating in a hybrid awards ceremony, which combines the virtual with the face-to-face experience, what advantages do you highlight?

Respect by WORLDCOB is absolute, their hospitality, kindness and prompt response.

6. Would you share some of your methods as a leader that helps you run your business?

Study particular business with well-thought advisors, full-time monitoring, decision-making process, flexibility, the welfare of the employees and their families

The 3 days event began on November 23 with a welcome reception for all members representing the companies awarded on this edition, then, the next day they enjoyed a Workshop led by Nancy Branger (Director of Human Development), later In the evening the Dinner Gala Ceremony was held and closed on the 25th with a guided city tour in Doha, exclusively for the winners.

“Last year we explored virtuality with the recognition meetings and the WORDLCOB Virtual Summit and we learned its benefits closely, that is why this year we introduced the hybrid experience” – Daniel Javier, Director of Quality and CSR at WORLDCOB, comments during his opening speech in regards to the fact that THE BIZZ is now a hybrid event that combines the virtual event with the on-site event.
